- 2 Maccabees 1:18 Therefore whereas we are nowe purposed to keep the purification of the Temple vpon the fiue & twentieth day of the moneth Casleu, we thought it necessary to certifie you thereof, that ye also might keepe it, as the of the tabernacles, and of the fire when Neemias offered sacrifice, after that he had builded the Temple, and the Altar.
